Purari & Centineo- Charge (Original Mix)

March is a fun time of the year in dance music for both producers and fans alike. Whether you’re in Miami for Ultra or not it’s a prime opportunity for artists to preview and sample their upcoming releases to the masses as they look to get a head start on capturing a buzz for their own sounds of the summer. Well it’s not even March yet and already Purari and Centineo have released some heavy duty music. ‘Charge’ is what those in the biz would call a “fucking banger”. The track shines the whole way through from it’s hard hitting drop to it’s well crafted breakdown, only to hit you in the face with that violent drop once again. Whether he’s behind the decks in Hoboken or in the studio producing, Purari is most certainly a young talent to watch and this release with Centineo adds to a hot start in 2017. ‘Charge’ is available now on Loko Sound Records.

Hardwell Goes Big For 300th Podcast

Whether you’re a fan of electronic music or not, you probably have heard of Hardwell. If you are a fan of the genre, you probably already know that he is one of the most influential figures in the industry. From running his own label to headlining some of the biggest dance music events in the world to producing monster hits, Robbert van de Corput’s resume is stacked. Perhaps one of his biggest contributions to dance music is his weekly radio show, Hardwell On Air. Started in 2011, Hardwell on air has been a showcase of musical talent ranging from well known acts to bedroom producers, spanning from progressive to electro to hardstyle to deep house to whatever the hell Hardwell feels like playing.

In celebration of his 300th episode, Hardwell (in classic Hardwell fashion) pulled out all the stops and delivered a special live podcast straight from Amsterdam. The episode, an hour longer than usual, featured a string of live sets from different artists including his close friend and fellow Revealed Recordings artist Kill The Buzz and electro house heavyweights Blasterjaxx. The event also included special guests as well as live interviews from fellow big time producers who wanted to stop by and pay their respects. Lots of new and upcoming music too, definitely want to check this out if you enjoy electronic music. Here’s to Hardwell and all his contributions to dance music, with plenty more inevitably to come.

W&W- Caribbean Rave

It’s pretty well known that Gratzfeed brass is really high on W&W as producers. The dutch duo has been cranking out hits on a steady basis for years now and are back at it with their newest banger ‘Caribbean Rave’. The track has been around as an ID for some time now, being played almost exclusively as the opening track in their live sets. It has since undergone some fine tuning and a vocal from Eva Simons and is finally a complete production available for all to download. As always, Gratzfeed is not responsible for any broken or smashed belongings from listening. ‘Caribbean Rave’ is out now on Mainstage Music.

Hardwell & W&W Ft. Lil Jon- Live The Night

You ever hear a track where you lose everything that makes you human and just revert back to your primal instincts? Well that’s what we have with this mega banger from Hardwell, W&W, and Lil Jon. ‘Live The Night’ has been played in the producers live sets for the past three years with never any hint of a release date yet alone a title. Well, they added Lil Jon to the mix and have finally released one of the biggest tracks of the year. This is a big, anthemic electro track that is a sure shot bet to send any crowd, big or small, into an absolute fucking frenzy. ‘Live The Night’ is out now on Mainstage Music.

New Music Mondays: Four Tracks You Need To Know

Halloween was fucking lit this year and we’re all probably still in the recovery process, but whether you’re ready or not the mayhem continues on this first Monday of November with four massive new tracks by some of the best the genre has to offer. On your mark, ya better get set…

Quintino- Scorpion (Hardwell Edit)

Hardwell is featured a lot on this site and the reasoning is pretty simple, he’s really fucking good. His originals are some of the most well identified tracks of electronic music but his remixes are nothing to mess with either. This is an electro banger that does a great job of bringing elements from different sub genres and combining them into one massive track. Number 1 on DJ Mag or not, Robbert is still at the top of his game and Scorpion fully supports that statement. This one is out now on Revealed Recordings.

Jay Hardaway- Electric Elephants

A big complaint nowadays is that a lot of music is sounding the same, that there’s a lack of originality. Jay Hardaway puts that notion to rest with his newest track ‘Electric Elephants’. Signed to Spinnin Records, Jay Hardaway’s arsenal of great tracks continues to grow at a breakneck pace. Definitely an artist to watch if you haven’t been already, plus he’s in my Instagram profile picture so you know he’s legit. ‘Electric Elephants’ is out now on Spinnin Records.

Riggi & Piros- Knightlife

Speaking of young producers, Riggi & Piros (from Jersey how cool is that) are some of the hottest in the game right now. I don’t even think they’re old enough to have a beer but this duo has already been recognized by some of the biggest in the industry. They are pretty much the prodigy of Tiesto so you know they’re fucking legit. Knightlife is a powerful progressive work, available now on Musical Freedom.

Afrojack- Unstoppable (Original Mix)

This one has really grown on me recently. Afrojack knows how to bring the craziness as good as anyone and ‘Unstoppable’ surely does not disappoint in that department. The first drop is a darker, clubbier sound then builds up to something that would set a festival completely off. ‘Unstoppable’ is available now on Wall Recordings.

New Music Mondays: Three Tracks You Need To Know

Bassjackers- Bring That Beat (Original Mix)

Bassjackers are really good at what they do and that’s make music that makes you want to absolutely lose your shit. This track isn’t really all that different from what they’ve been making as of late but it’s a welcome addition to an already stacked list of aggressive bangers, without a doubt a must add to your “break shit” playlist this fall. ‘Bring That Beat’ is out now on Smash The House Records.

Vicetone- I’m On Fire (Original Mix)

While looking at the comments on this tracks page I saw someone say “sexy” and I think that sums this one up pretty well. Overall just a really catchy and crisp melody that will be stuck on your head in no time. ‘I’m On Fire’ is out now on Spinnin Records.

Dannic & Sick Individuals- Feel Your Love (Original Mix)

Quite Possibly one of the biggest tracks out now, ‘Feel Your Love’ is yet another masterpiece from Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. This one comes from his right hand man Dannic and fellow Revealed standouts Sick Individuals and starts out with a really groovy and catchy melody with phenomenal vocals which escalate into a powerful progressive breakdown followed by a fucking wild electro drop. I think what makes this track so special is that it does a remarkable job of fluidly combining different genres into one big track.  Really nice work here as Revealed Recordings stays unmatched in the genre. ‘Feel Your Love’ is out now.

Top 5 Tracks Of The Summer With Gratz And Akhil

I remember boarding a flight to Miami in March amped out of my mind to hear all the new music that would be the soundtrack to the ensuing summer. Well, summer came and went at a pace quicker than Martin Garrix’s rise to fame with a fuck ton of new tracks that we’ll still be listening to months from now. From pregames to nightclubs, car rides to just jamming out in the bedroom alone, Gratzfeed is counting down the best tracks of the summer. The best part, we’ve brought in Gratzfeed musical/ life companion, DJ Akhil in for a second opinion. It isn’t a weekend if Akhil isn’t hit up by somebody scrambling to find a new playlist or tune, so you know you’re in good hands. With so many tracks it was hard to pick just a handful of them, but after many discussions, re-listening and thought, here are the top tracks of Summer 2015.

Akhil

Martin Garrix vs. Matisse & Sadko- Dragon (Original Mix)
If you haven’t heard this track yet, then clearly you haven’t been productive at all this summer. Martin Garrix, the 19 year old sicko EDM prodigy, truly delivers on this one with fellow sickos Matisse & Sadko. Previously featured on Gratzfeed, Dragon is a bone-chilling, tear-jerking, Nana-hugging anthem. Every time I hear the breakdown I want to stop everything I’m doing and reflect on my life, as if everything is okay in this world. Garrix yet again masters an infectious melody with a hard-hitting drop that just makes you smile ear to ear. Definitely a top record in my book.
Ftampa & The Fish House- 031 (Original Mix)
Okay, full Gratzfeed disclosure: before listening to this, please wear any protective apparel you may have. This might be one of the most skull-smashing worthy tracks I have heard to date. A straight dance floor banger. With support from heavy hitters like Hardwell, Sander Van Doorn and the DJ from Headliner, this track seriously gets the crowd moving. It didn’t get much festival play, but it is no doubt one of my favorites of the summer and possibly this year. Good shit Ftampa.
DallasK- Retrograde (Original Mix)
For those who know our CEO, Brandon Gratz and myself, you know we are big fans of Revealed Recordings; pretty much everything and everyone under that label. To no surprise Revealed had a stellar summer, but the one record that stood out of the crowd, was this bad boy. I could only imagine what DallasK was drinking, smoking, and/or inhaling while making this but holy shit he knocked this one out of the park. Right off the bat, Retrograde provides a hook that you can’t help tap your foot or clap your hands too. With the signature DallasK sharpness and gritty build up, this track truly exemplifies an electro bomb. Definitely give this one a listen and don’t complain when there is a massive hole in the wall from your cranium.

Zedd ft Jon Bellion- Beautiful now
Say what you will, but Zedd is one of the best in the game. His ability to make records in his own style and still make them radio friendly (but not cheesy) is unmatched. Yes yes I know…every time I hear clarity I wanna ram a clenched fist through my car radio too, but his new album changed the game. Beautiful Now offers amazing vocals, along with a catchy break still incorporating the electro style of Zedd. He keeps the pace moving with a lyrical track and makes it perfect for festivals, clubs and 96.5. Out of every EDM track released in the Mainstream world, this one topped my list.
The Chainsmokers- Roses
This was literally the epitome of a summer jam. The hilarious and indie style duo-The Chainsmokers seriously killed it with this one. Just listening to it, you can hear how distinct and different it is from a lot of progressive tracks being released. Not much to say for this, except just listen for yourself and I guarantee you’ll fall in love. What a jam.
Notable mentions:
Don Diablo- On My Mind (Original Mix)
Dannic vs Tom & Jame- Clap (Original Mix)
Calvin Harris ft Disciples- How Deep Is Your Love (Original Mix/ R3hab Remix)
Headhunterz ft. Crystal Lake- Live Your Life (Original Mix)
Gratz
DallasK- Retrograde (Original Mix)
This one really grew on me as Akhil played it more than a radio DJ played ‘Where Are U Now’. This track has it all, a really unique and catchy breakdown followed by an energetic, party starting drop that never fails to send whoever is in the building into a fucking frenzy. DallasK has had a meteoric rise in the industry recently working with both Hardwell and Tiesto but this solo production is probably the young producers best one to date.
Chocolate Puma- I Could Be Wrong (Original Mix)
Deep house has really gained popularity and exposure this summer and Chocolate Puma are two legends of the genre. With ‘I Could Be Wrong’ it was the groovy vocal sample that instantly had me hooked. Combine that with an infectious piano sample and a funky drop and you have the perfect recipe for a track with high replay value, insanely high replay value.
Twoloud Vs Mojjjo x Mind’CD-  Objectif (Original Mix)
Like I Could Be Wrong, ‘Objectif’ is another groovy track except with a much more progressive take. Nowadays, at least in my opinion, a lot of progressive tracks sound the same with many containing cheesy lyrics about bright lights and the sun and love and feelings and all that annoying shit. Objectif, while just an instrumental, was able to bring out more emotion than any of those radio sounding anthems. Each track is going to have a different impact on a listener but this one made me imagine dancing on a secluded tropical island as the sun went down (I know, I know) with a bunch of people just having a great time. Similar to DallasK, twoloud (composed of two sickos) were brought to the limelight by Tiesto and Hardwell, further evidencing their power as influencers in the industry.
Ftampa & The Fish House- 031 (Original Mix)
This was probably my favorite track overall this summer. Gratzfeed as you know is all about the bangers and that’s exactly what this one is, a fucking big room banger. I mean what do you expect from a track that made its debut on the mainstage of Tomorrowland? This one was released on Sander Van Doorn’s ‘Doorn Records’ which had one of the most impressive summers from any label this summer. Ftampa  (who was mainly discovered by Hardwell, are you starting to notice a theme here?) who has had many great tracks in the past, but this was definitely his best work to date and served as an indicator that the young Brazilian producer should be around for the long haul.
Qulinez- Hookah (Original Mix)
Another super banger, this track has done what is seemingly the trendy thing to do now, using that Egyptian-ish style sound except this track does it better than most who have taken a stab at it. The first drop is a fast paced crowd destroyer while the second part flips the script and slows it down with a filthy trap inspired drop. This is a catchy, aggressive track that I know I’ll continue to listen to for a while.
Notable mentions:
Firebeatz- Samir’s Theme 2015 (Original Mix)
Lucky Date ft. Sabrina Signs- I Like You (Original Mix)
Headhunterz ft. Crystal Lake- Live Your Life (Original Mix)

W&W & Moti- Spack Jarrow (Original Mix)

This summer has been massive when it comes to music with explosive releases coming literally every week (haha explosive releases). This week the cream of the crop is the new collaboration between the ass kicking dutch duo W&W and Tiesto prodigy Moti. ‘Spack Jarrow’ is an epic adventure that will make you actually want to smash a treasure chest over somebody’s skull. Big, loud and unique, ‘Spack Jarrow’ is definitely a banger you’ll need and it’s now available on Musical Freedom.

Monday Madness: 3 Tracks You Need To Know

What’s up Gratzians, it’s been a little while but Gratzfeed is back in full force. I don’t know about yall but I had a great weekend, yes it sucks that it’s Monday but the release of these tunes really helps give that boost we all really need for the week. Here’s your prescription to rid you of those Monday blues:

Ftampa & The Fish House- 031 (Original Mix)

This track is a fucking banger plain and simple. If you don’t know Ftampa it’s time you get familiar, he’s a young producer who has already been supported by the biggest acts and is signed to Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings. This gem however is out on Sander’s Doorn Records imprint, grab it now.

Firebeatz- Sky High (Tiesto Edit)

Another banger, this one is mean. Tiesto takes this Firebeatz track and just gives it a really gritty, awesome sound. These producers together are always a force to be reckoned with and this track does little to disprove that.

Lucky Date feat. Sabrina Signs- I Like You (Original Mix)

Been following this one for a while, Lucky Date makes some fucking crazy music. This one has really catchy vocals from Sabrina Signs followed by a drop so hard and unique that it would absolutely set a club off. ‘I Like You’ is out now on Revealed Recordings.

Check Out These Remixes From Rising Jersey Producers

In case you haven’t noticed, I really like music. Music is a passion that I willingly devote a large portion of my time to day in and day out. As a fan of anything, it’s always refreshing to be able to share and discuss your interests with likeminded individuals. Mikey P and DJ Glaze are two producers/ DJs who share this passion of music, and it shows through their work. I’ve spent some time talking to these dudes about the genre and they really know their shit. Well, they put their expertise on display with their brand new remixes to popular songs.

Up first we have Mikey P and his remix to Tove Lo’s ‘Talking Body’. The youngster put a lot of time into this one, getting it just right for breaking shit in a crowded room. Even better? This one’s available for free download right here

Next we have another energetic remix, this time Glaze’s imagining of Adam Lambert’s ‘Ghost Town’. Just like Mikey P, Glaze gives us a track that may make you want to play a game of dodgeball with a pile of rocks. Even better than better? This one’s also available for free download, right here
