So here’s the deal, 19 year Rutgers cornerback Darian Dailey of you guessed it, Florida, was arrested along with another man, Trazelle Johnson for pulling up in front of an 18 year old on a bike, yes a fucking bike and robbing him with a BB gun.
“Dailey, who was driving a black Dodge registered to his mother, and Johnson, the passenger, stopped the car directly in front of an 18-year-old who was riding his bicycle home from work just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to the warrant. Police said Johnson got out of the car with his face covered by a cloth and pointed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim and asked, “What you got?”
After the victim said he had $20, Johnson said, “Hand it over,” according to the warrant. Dailey, 19, stood behind Johnson, 19, near the rear of vehicle during the exchange. Dailey and Johnson then got back into the car and drove away, according to the warrant.
The victim copied the car’s tag number and the vehicle was located by Manatee County Deputies a short time later. A black pellet gun (without red tip) was in plain view in the vehicle, according to the warrant.”
On one hand, it sucks that this kid is going to probably throw away his lifelong dream of playing college football at a Big Ten university after years and years of hard work all over $20. On the other hand, this guy would have been sitting pretty if he didn’t get caught. $20 may not seem like a whole lot of money, but to a broke college kid in New BB Gunswick, it could help you have one hell of a night. Go to Queens on a Tuesday night with 20 bones in your pocket and you’re good to fucking go, you’ll have enough red bull vodkas to stop the hearts of the entire defensive line. Or, you could go to Hansel and really ball out. $20!? You can get a crisp AND a banana flip, AND some tots smothered in cheese.
But the more I think about this, it serves him right he got caught. I mean what a lazy heist to begin with. If you’re a football player then why do you need a BB gun for some kid on a bike? At least we know this guys name now, which a lot of us can’t say about the majority of players on the team. We’ll keep you posted on this as more developments come in.
